'Koh-i-Noor' Katoomba 2024
The Brief
This classic Federation garden needed a pre-sale update to improve access to an existing paved seating area, and new paths leading to a second seating area to give prospective buyers spaces to imagine themselves enjoying the next chapter of their lives in.
The Plan
- New steps and railing up to the existing paved seating area.
- New gravel paths and steps leading to a new second seating area.
- New plantings, pots, etc in keeping with the Federation style of the house and garden.
The Results
- New steps constructed using original bricks found on site.
- New stepped gravel paths and second seating area using recycled gravel found and sifted on site, lined with rusted steel edging.
- New plantings, new pots, and antique bird bath.
